I founded Radica because I was building solutions for myself that I couldn’t find in the marketplace. This turned into questions and interest from people in parking lots and on the trail. I quickly realized I was onto something and turned my garage into a fabrication shop. By Fall of 2021 I was in business and had my first orders. I have a background in manufacturing operations and industrial engineering. I am passionate about building great products that people love. Radica was formed to grow this passion and use my knowledge of lean American manufacturing to deliver what the people want, hand built in Denver, Colorado.
MOONLANDER
The idea of MoonLander began in 2020 when I was trying to solve a problem for myself. I wanted an affordable hard shell truck bed camping solution that didn’t exist on the market. I wanted something that was lightweight and could stay on the truck. Something that required zero set up time. I wanted to maximize space while not compromising the off road ability. Something that was less complicated than a pop-up camper, but something more than just a truck topper. So, I built a prototype. The MoonLander is an extremely unique solution to this and it immediately started turning heads the day I put the first one on my truck.
After almost a year of building the first model, testing it out in the Rockies, and enjoying what we had so far, my girlfriend Madi and I decided to take a trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We got asked so many questions as we drove around the parks, that I decided to just post an ad on Craigslist to see if anyone else would want an early model. Sure enough, I had 3 orders within the first few days and had to take down the ad because I wasn’t quite ready for it. Four months later I quit my job and took Radica on full time. Since then we have been refining the MoonLander, growing our team, and building an assembly line to meet demand. We love the MoonLander so much and think others will as well.
